It was curiosity that first led me into photography; a desire to discover new places, immerse myself in nature, and be bowled over by emotion. I enjoy finding unique details and preserving rare and unexpected moments on film.

It was curiosity that first led me into photography; a desire to discover new places, immerse myself in nature, and be bowled over by emotion. I enjoy finding unique details and preserving rare and unexpected moments on film. Thanks to photography, I have been fortunate enough to experience remarkable events in extraordinary places—from the European football championships between Austria and Switzerland, to a remote wedding in the Seychelles. I’ve photographed horse farms under smoky Irish skies; experienced the thrill of the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon, North Carolina (USA); and even attended the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in Windsor (UK).
Framing. Light. Emotion. These three, fundamental ingredients create photography that strikes at the heart of a viewer. To these basic principles, I bring my own aesthetic. I have always been attracted to the harmony of graphic shapes, and the detail and precision that can be found in classic architecture. My workflow begins with a careful study of my subject and a fine-tuning of the frame.
Deeply introspective and observant by nature, I enjoy delving into the subject of my work. I study for a long time before I lift my camera, searching for ways to interpret the emotions I uncover. This process not only creates strong images, it allows me to be fully present in the moment.
Photography is not an ordered system. Instead, it is the final act of a thought. For me, that starts with immersion and understanding. By combining research, technique, and intuition, I seek to find the balance between formal perfection and the freedom that comes from creativity and emotion.
My work portrays many fleeting, once in a lifetime details: intertwined hands, subtle glances, and unconscious gestures. By observing, capturing, and enhancing these details as images, we not only preserve them, but give ourselves the ability re-experience emotionally charged moments that might otherwise have been lost to time.
