Equestrian
My experience with equestrian photography stems from my deep fascination with the unique bonds that exist between human beings and animals. Riding is both a technical and an emotional sport. At its best, it is a relationship built out of mutual respect; one that walks the line between the formal, athletic demands of competition, and the freedom and unpredictability that’s always present when working with half-ton flight animals. To date, my work has centered on the international show jumping scene, as well as personal travel projects focused on capturing the essence of domestic and wild horses, at home in their natural environments.
Career

My career in equestrian photography began at the Arezzo Equestrian Centre. Twenty years on, I have expanded and honed my craft through numerous experiences photographing international show jumping at the very highest level. A few of these include the Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show and Longines Global Champions Tour.
Details

Through a rapt attention to detail, careful framing, and a thoughtful approach to the use of light, I try to recreate the emotional moments that bind humans and horses. The intention behind my work is to portray the power, purity, and elegance of the horse, but also to convey the dynamism and harmony inherent to horse sport. Nowhere else will you find grace so intertwined with strength and power, or brute force so contained by the bonds of kindness and trust.
